In Elementary, students are learning about the world and developing their motor skills. Whilst the level of English is very low, you should show them as much English as you can and have fun together, with the support of the homeroom teachers.

In Junior High, students are beginning to do more complex grammar points and start reading comprehension. At this level, they should be more comfortable with reading and speaking English.

In Japan, Senior High School isn’t mandatory. At this level, there is often a big focus on speech, entrance exams and doing more complex reading comprehension. Students should be confident in expressing their thoughts and opinions on such topics .
